CHARMS

The Charms Office Assistant is a full-featured office assistant that the Robinson Band organization utilizes to keep track of our student and parent information such as email addresses, phone numbers, chaperones, instruments, music library, and lots more. It enables you and our organization to know what forms you have turned in, what fees you have paid, to communicate by email, and many other functions.

Email addresses from the Robinson Band mailing list are not shared with anyone. Messages will be sent to you as blind carbon copies to avoid publishing your address.

CHARMS LOG IN INSTRUCTIONS – Robinson Secondary HS Band including Guard - April 2023

NOTICE:  In most cases, Student Cell Number and Student non-FCPS email address were used to set up Charms Student Account and needed to reset Charms password.  We don’t use @fcpsschools.net email addresses controlled by FCPS.  FCPS filter rejects Charms emails.  9th grade CHARMS accounts were likely set up with PARENT EMAIL and CELL NUMBER.  When attempting to reset password, if student email address doesn't work, use parent email address where you received THIS EMAIL.  

Music Directors, Staff, and RBOPO (our booster organization) use Charms to announce opportunities, events, concerts, trips, and other music program information.  We need at least one parent email address in Charms.   
Important:  HS BAND including GUARD also use Charms to track fees and payments.

Do not report Charms email as spam.  Use instructions below to limit your emails.

TO UPDATE STUDENT INFORMATION IN THE "CHARMS" OFFICE DATABASE:

1. On your computer go to the following website: https://www.charmsoffice.com/

2.  Click on LOGIN.  Click on Parents/Students/Members.

3.  Enter School Code: rssband  From here parent can view calendar.  The calendar will list needs for adult volunteers.  Look for gloved hand on applicable dates.

4. This is a student account. Student will be asked to enter their case sensitive student area password. New member password is formatted as follows:

a. Student’s First Initial/Last Initial/Last 4 digits of your student ID

b. EX: Robbie Ram (student ID 12345678) would be RR5678

IMPORTANT: Student will be prompted to change the password, if student has not already changed it.  Parents don’t have an account; use student credentials to log in.

PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR STUDENT FIRST REGARDING CHARMS PASSWORD.  Student may have changed password since you last logged in.  See 12. below for more info.

5. Click “UPDATE INFO” 

6. Check student name/address/cell phone #. Make necessary changes.

7. Check student email address. Check t-shirt size. Make necessary changes.

8. Click on “Adult’s Information” tab at bottom of screen.

a. Check information for parent or guardian 1. Make necessary changes.

b. Enter information for parent or guardian 2, if applicable.

9. Click the green “UPDATE” button in upper right-hand corner to save your info.

10.  Click on “Finances” to see your student’s HS Band including Guard Fees. Later in Fall, WinterGuard and HS Band trip fees will be entered, if applicable.
Marching and Concert program feeswill be invoiced in My School Bucks.  Credit card payments are preferred.  Payments will be documented in Charms.

Having trouble logging in to Charms?  Forgot your password?  Charms will reset using Student First Name, Last Name, Student Cell and/or Email Address.  9th grade CHARMS accounts were likely set up with PARENT EMAIL and CELL NUMBER.  When attempting to reset password, if student email address doesn't work,​​​​​​​ use parent email address where you received your “Marching Band Information Packet” email.
