Grocery Scrip

Scrip is a prepaid debit card (Giant and Shoppers) that you can use in any of their chain stores. When you purchase Scrip, you will earn 5% for Shoppers Scrip and 4% for Giant Scrip purchased. The amount you earn is split between your student and RBOPO. Since you buy groceries anyway it really is totally painless. You use the scrip gift certificates (Shoppers) and gift cards (Giant) just like cash. When you purchase scrip at face value, the profit (discount) goes towards funding for music, clinicians, uniforms and instruments, which are not fully funded by Fairfax County Public Schools. This year RBOPO is starting a new fundraiser through eScrip.com. It costs you nothing and requires only that you eat! One of the many merchants participating in eScrip is Safeway. We are asking all members to register their Safeway Grocery card on eScrip (see below). By associating your Safeway Grocery Card with RBOPO, a percentage of all your spending at Safeway will be directly deposited to RBOPO. Other merchants are also available at eScrip.com to allow you to register other merchant cards and credit cards. More information on those merchants' programs will follow in the months to come. The impact the eScrip program is having on the youth of our nation is enormous thanks to our merchant partners and the families that are making every purchase count. eScrip info here.

One note: if you currently are an eScrip subscriber and have designated the Robinson PTSA as the recipient of your funds, please consider not changing your designation - we do not want to take away from their fundraising effort.
